Huckleberry Finn
Huckleberry "Huck" Finn is a fictional character created by Mark Twain, appearing in "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and its sequel "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". He is the son of the town's vagrant drunkard, "Pap" Finn, and lives a life of poverty and lawlessness. Huck is an archetypal innocent, able to discover the "right" thing to do despite the prevailing theology and prejudiced mentality of the South. He helps Jim, a slave, escape to freedom, and together they embark on a journey down the Mississippi River. Along the way, Huck learns to read and becomes literate, while also developing a deeper understanding of the world around him. Eventually, Jim gains his freedom through Miss Watson's death, and Huck plans to flee west to Indian Territory, leaving behind the societal norms and rules he grew up with.learn more on wikipedia
