Holocaust
The Holocaust was the genocide of European Jews during World War II, resulting in the deaths of approximately six million Jews, around two-thirds of Europe's Jewish population. The Nazis developed their ideology based on racism and pursued "living space", leading to the persecution and murder of Jews, as well as other groups, including non-Jewish civilians and POWs. The regime passed anti-Jewish laws, established ghettos, and ultimately decided to murder all Jews in Europe, with victims being deported to extermination camps where they were killed with poison gas or died from forced labor, starvation, and abuse. The property and belongings of murdered Jews were redistributed to the German occupiers and other non-Jews, and the killing continued until the end of the war in May 1945.learn more on wikipedia
