Hodeidah Port

The Hudaydah Port is a key Yemeni port on the Red Sea coast, handling up to 80% of humanitarian supplies, fuel, and commercial goods in northern Yemen. The port is situated on the west coast of Yemen and was built between 1958 and 1961 with Soviet assistance. In 2015, the Houthis took over the port, and the Saudi-led Coalition and internationally recognized government of Yemen have accused them of receiving arms from Iran, leading to repeated attempts to retake the port.
