Hinkley Point

Hinkley Point is a headland on the Bristol Channel coast of Somerset, England, 5 miles north of Bridgwater and 5 miles west of Burnham-on-Sea. Excavations in 2014 and 2015 uncovered an Iron Age farming settlement and a post-Roman cemetery at the site. Hinkley Point is adjacent to Bridgwater Bay, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserve, and is a popular spot for birdwatching and fossil hunting. A nuclear power station, Hinkley Point C, is currently under construction, which will consist of two European Pressurised Reactor units and is projected to use three million tonnes of concrete and 230,000 tonnes of steel reinforcements.learn more on wikipedia
