Hannibal Lecter

Dr. Hannibal Lecter is a fictional character created by Thomas Harris, a serial killer who eats his victims and is a respected forensic psychiatrist. He first appeared in the novel Red Dragon in 1981 and was portrayed by Brian Cox in the film Manhunter, but it was Anthony Hopkins' portrayal in The Silence of the Lambs that made him a iconic character.
