Grenfell Tower

Grenfell Tower is a 24-storey residential tower block in North Kensington, London, that was completed in 1974 and destroyed in a severe fire on June 14, 2017. The building originally housed 120 one- and two-bedroom flats, with a total of 200 bedrooms, and was designed in the Brutalist style by Clifford Wearden and Associates. Following a refurbishment from 2015 to 2016, the tower had 127 flats and 227 bedrooms. A fire gutted the building and killed 72 people, including a stillbirth.
