Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid, built as the tomb of pharaoh Khufu during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom around 2600 BC. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that has remained largely intact. Initially standing at 146.6 meters tall, the pyramid's height was lowered to 138.5 meters after most of its smooth white limestone casing was removed over time. The pyramid was built using an estimated 2.3 million large blocks, weighing a total of 6 million tonnes, and was constructed with a base measuring 230.3 meters square.
