Great Pyramid of Giza
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid, built as the tomb of pharaoh Khufu during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom around 2600 BC. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that has remained largely intact. Initially standing at 146.6 meters tall, the pyramid's height was lowered to 138.5 meters after most of its smooth white limestone casing was removed over time. The pyramid was built using an estimated 2.3 million large blocks, weighing a total of 6 million tonnes, and was constructed with a base measuring 230.3 meters square. The Great Pyramid has three known internal chambers, including the Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber, which contain a granite sarcophagus, and a lowest chamber cut into the bedrock upon which the pyramid was built.learn more on wikipedia
