Great March of Return

The 2018-2019 Gaza border protests, also known as the Great March of Return, were a series of demonstrations held each Friday in the Gaza Strip from March 30, 2018, to December 27, 2019, in which Israeli forces killed a total of 223 Palestinians. The demonstrators demanded the right of return for Palestinian refugees and an end to Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip, but smaller groups attempted to breach the fence and throw stones and molotov cocktails, leading to clashes with Israeli forces.
