Grampians National Park

The Grampians National Park is a 167,219-hectare park in Victoria, Australia, known for its striking series of mountain ranges of sandstone. It is one of the richest Aboriginal rock art sites in south-eastern Australia and was listed on the National Heritage List in 2006. The park is situated 260 km west of Melbourne and 460 km east of Adelaide, and features about 90% of the rock art in the state. The park was proclaimed in 1984 and has undergone several name changes, including being renamed Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park in 1991 before being reverted back to Grampians National Park.learn more on wikipedia
