Google Street View

Google Street View is a technology that provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world, launched in 2007 in the United States and since expanded to many other countries. The technology was initially developed in 2001 as the Stanford CityBlock Project, a Google-sponsored research project, and uses a combination of car, tricycle, camel, boat, snowmobile, underwater apparatus, and on foot photography.
