Gimpo International Airport

Gimpo International Airport is located in the far western end of Seoul, approximately 15 kilometers west of the central district, and serves as Seoul's secondary airport. The airport was previously the main international airport for Seoul and South Korea before being replaced by Incheon International Airport in 2001. It handled over 23 million passengers in 2015, making it the third-busiest airport in Korea. The airport is located south of the Han River in western Seoul, and its name comes from the nearby city of Gimpo.
