Forum on China-Africa Cooperation
The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is an official forum between the People's Republic of China and all African states except the Kingdom of Eswatini, established to promote economic and political cooperation between China and Africa. The forum is led by China and views FOCAC as a cooperation platform within the Belt and Road Initiative since 2018. It has 53 African countries, China, and the African Union Commission as members, with each meeting resulting in a three-year action plan and Chinese pledges of loans, grants, and export credits. FOCAC emphasizes political cooperation between Africa and China, with China advocating for the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and provides significant foreign aid to African countries through various forms, with the sole political condition being adherence to the One China principle.learn more on wikipedia
