F-22
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a twin-engine, all-weather, supersonic stealth fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force. It was designed as an air superiority fighter, but also incorporates ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence capabilities. The F-22 was first flown in 1997 and entered service in 2005, with a planned total of 750 aircraft eventually reduced to 195 due to high costs and a lack of air-to-air missions. The F-22 is a critical component of the USAF's high-end tactical airpower, and has performed strike and electronic surveillance missions in the Middle East. It is planned to remain a cornerstone of the USAF's fighter fleet until its succession by the crewed Next Generation Air Dominance fighter.learn more on wikipedia
