Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base
Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base is a joint military installation in Houston, Texas, shared by active and reserve component units, as well as NASA aircraft operations. The base is home to the Texas Air National Guard's 147th Attack Wing, which operates MQ-9 Reaper Unmanned Aerial Systems. The base has undergone significant construction, including a $80 million project that added 10 buildings for Army National Guard and reserve units, including a Battle Command Training Center. The base is now home to five of the six U.S. military branches and NASA operations, as well as a Civil Air Patrol squadron. It was established in 1917 as one of 32 Air Service training camps, named after First Lieutenant Eric Ellington, and has played a significant role in military aviation and training throughout its history.learn more on wikipedia
