Ellesmere Port

Ellesmere Port is a town in the Cheshire West and Chester borough in Cheshire, England, with a population of 61,090 in 2011. The town was founded at the outlet of the Ellesmere Canal, a project to connect the rivers Severn, Mersey and Dee, which was never completed. Settlements had existed in the area since the 11th century, and the town grew up around the docks and industrial areas, including the Stanlow oil refinery and Vauxhall Motors car factory, becoming a major urban area with a population of 325,264 in 2011.learn more on wikipedia
