Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is one of two international airports serving Chengdu, China, and is one of the oldest airports in China, built in 1938. It is located 16 kilometers southwest of downtown Chengdu and is a major aviation hub for Western China, with Air China, Sichuan Airlines, and Chengdu Airlines having bases there. The airport became the third-busiest in the world in 2020 and has undergone several expansions, including a large-scale project from 1994 to 2001 that extended the runway and built a new terminal building with a capacity of 3,500 passengers per hour.
