Charles de Gaulle Airport, located in Roissy-en-France, is the primary international airport serving Paris, France. It serves as the main hub for Air France and is operated by Groupe ADP under the brand Paris Aéroport. The airport handled 67,421,316 passengers in 2023, making it the world's ninth busiest airport and Europe's third busiest airport. It also handles the most airlines and offers direct flights to the most countries in the world. The airport spans over three départements and six communes, covering 32.38 square kilometers of land. Its development began in 1966, and Terminal 1 was built in an avant-garde design in 1974.
