Cascade Mountain

Cascade Mountain is located in the Bow River Valley of Banff National Park, adjacent to the town of Banff, and was named in 1858 after the waterfall on its southern flanks. The mountain is the highest adjacent to the townsite and has two main climbing routes: the more moderate hike up to the Cascade Amphitheatre, and the more challenging ascent up the SW ridge, which was first climbed in 1977.
