Camp David

Camp David is a 125-acre country retreat for the President of the United States located in Catoctin Mountain Park, Maryland. The retreat was originally known as Hi-Catoctin and was built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration. It was converted to a presidential retreat in 1942 and was renamed Shangri-La, later being renamed Camp David in 1953 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The retreat has been used by numerous presidents for private diplomatic meetings and recreation, including notable events such as the Camp David Accords between Egyptian president Anwar al-Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin in 1978.learn more on wikipedia
