CNN NewsNight is a live news program airing on CNN and CNN International at 10:00 PM ET weeknights, currently hosted by Abby Phillip. The show initially focused on investigative journalism with a strong emphasis on interviews during its first run. It expanded to two hours in September 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina, adding Anderson Cooper as a co-host, but was cancelled on November 2, 2005.
