Braveheart
The film Braveheart is a 1995 epic historical drama directed by and starring Mel Gibson as William Wallace, a Scottish warrior who led a rebellion against King Edward I of England in the First War of Scottish Independence. The story is inspired by Blind Harry's 15th century epic poem and was adapted for the screen by Randall Wallace. The film received generally positive reviews and was a critical and commercial success, despite being criticized for its historical inaccuracies. It follows Wallace's journey from a young man witnessing the aftermath of Longshanks' conquest of Scotland, to his leadership of the rebellion, his secret marriage, and ultimately his execution, as well as the eventual victory of the Scots at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, led by Robert the Bruce.learn more on wikipedia
