Bonfire Night
Bonfire Night is a yearly event celebrated with bonfires and fireworks in various parts of the world. It has different dates and significance in different countries and communities. In Great Britain, it is associated with the tradition of celebrating the failure of Guy Fawkes' actions on 5 November 1605. Celebrations are held throughout Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and other parts of the Commonwealth, and often feature funfairs, family entertainment, and special food and drinks. The tradition has lost its sectarian significance in Great Britain but remains strong in Northern Ireland, where it is celebrated on 11 July to commemorate the Battle of the Boyne. In other parts of the world, including Newfoundland and Labrador, South Africa, and the Republic of Ireland, Bonfire Night is celebrated on different dates and has different origins and significance.learn more on wikipedia
