Blues Brothers
Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi founded the Blues Brothers in 1978 as an independent project, initially appearing as the opening act for Steve Martin. The duo, dressed in matching black suits, consisted of lead vocalist "Joliet" Jake Blues (Belushi) and his brother, Elwood (Aykroyd), who played a harmonica. The band included experienced musicians such as Steve "The Colonel" Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, and Matt "Guitar" Murphy, and released their debut album "Briefcase Full of Blues" in 1978. The Blues Brothers gained fame after the release of the comedy film "The Blues Brothers" in 1980 and remain the most successful blues revue act of all time. Despite Belushi's death in 1982, the band continued to perform with guest singers and musicians, and was re-formed in 1988 and 1998 for tours and the sequel film "Blues Brothers 2000".learn more on wikipedia
