Blue Room

The Blue Room is one of three state parlors on the first floor of the White House, measuring approximately 30 by 40 feet and featuring six doors that open into various areas of the building. The room is traditionally decorated in shades of blue and is furnished in the French Empire style with original pieces from the 19th century, including a suite of gilded European beech furniture produced by Pierre-Antoine Bellangé in 1812.
