Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is an international airport located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, 9 miles south of downtown Baltimore and 30 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. It serves as one of three major airports in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area, along with Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. In 2023, BWI recorded 12,849,636 passenger enplanements, making it the busiest airport in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and ranked 23rd in passenger enplanements in the US.
