Băneasa Airport
Aurel Vlaicu International Airport, located in Bucharest, Romania, was established in 1912 and is one of the oldest continuously operating airports in Eastern Europe and among the five oldest airports in the world. The airport was used for various purposes during World War II and later became TAROM's domestic hub during the communist period. In 2007, the airport underwent renovations and became a low-cost airline hub, with carriers such as Wizz Air and EasyJet operating flights from the airport. In 2012, the airport was converted into a business airport and last had passenger air traffic until 2012. The airport underwent further renovations and was announced to reopen for commercial flights in 2020, with the first scheduled flight operated on April 20, 2023.learn more on wikipedia
