Atomium

The Atomium is a landmark modernist building in Brussels, Belgium, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Designed by André Waterkeyn, André and Jean Polak, it stands 102 meters tall and features nine 18-meter-diameter stainless steel spheres connected in the shape of an iron crystal unit cell. The building serves as a museum, art center, and cultural destination, with access to six visitable spheres containing exhibit halls and public spaces. The top sphere includes a restaurant with a panoramic view of Brussels.
