Allstate Sugar Bowl
The Sugar Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played in New Orleans, Louisiana since January 1, 1935, making it tied with the Orange Bowl and Sun Bowl as the second-oldest bowl game in the country. The game was originally played at Tulane Stadium before moving to the Superdome in 1975, and has been sponsored by various companies including Allstate, Nokia, and USF&G Financial Services. The Sugar Bowl has a longstanding relationship with the Southeastern Conference (SEC), with an SEC team playing in the game in every year but one from 1950 to 1995. The Sugar Bowl has hosted several College Football Playoff (CFP) semifinal games, including ones after the 2014, 2017, and 2020 seasons, and will host one again in 2023. In 2024, the Sugar Bowl will become an annual feature of the expanded CFP, hosting a quarterfinal or semifinal game on a rotating basis.learn more on wikipedia
