Alamshar

Alamshar is a retired Irish Thoroughbred racehorse and active sire who won five of his nine races between 2002 and 2003. He is best known for his performances as a three-year-old when he overcame chronic injury problems to win the Irish Derby and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Alamshar was bred by the Aga Khan and was trained by John Oxx, who rode him in all his races, including his win in the Irish Derby where he dominated both the betting and the finish, narrowly defeating his owner's French-trained colt Dalakhani.learn more on wikipedia
