1950-1953 Korean War

The Korean War was an armed conflict fought between North Korea and South Korea, with North Korea supported by China and the Soviet Union, and South Korea supported by the United Nations Command led by the United States. The war began on June 25, 1950, when North Korea launched an invasion of the south, and ended on July 27, 1953, with an armistice agreement. The conflict resulted in the displacement of millions of people, 3 million fatalities, and the destruction of virtually all of Korea's major cities.
