She was considered the world's oldest person, listed by the Gerontology Research Group and Guinness World Records (GWR) as the oldest known person in the world. Born on March 4, 1907, in San Francisco, she moved to Spain with her family at a young age. Morera lived in the Santa Maria del Tura nursing home for the last two decades of her life. Her family announced her death on social media, stating that she died peacefully in her sleep, as she had wished.
