Wendy's to Test Surge Pricing at U.S. Restaurants in 2023

Wendy's, an American fast food chain, is set to introduce dynamic pricing and AI menu features in their restaurants starting as early as next year. The prices for food items will automatically adjust throughout the day based on demand. The company has allocated approximately $30 million over two years for this initiative. However, there seems to be conflicting information regarding the expansion of this trial into Canada. While one source states that Wendy's has no plans to expand the trial north of the border, another source quotes CEO Kirk Tanner as saying they will begin testing these features in Canada as well.
