Washington Post Cartoonist Resigns Over Paper's Refusal to Publish Cartoon Critical of Owner Jeff Bezos

Cartoonist Ann Telnaes has resigned from her position at the newspaper after her cartoons were repeatedly rejected due to their depiction of the newspaper's owner, Jeff Bezos. Two of her cartoons were rejected, one of which showed Bezos genuflecting towards a statue of President-elect Trump, and another depicting Bezos and other tech moguls kneeling and holding bags of money. The newspaper defended its decision, stating that not every editorial judgment is a reflection of a malign force. Telnaes described the newspaper's decision as a "game-changer" and stated that it was the first time she had a cartoon killed due to the subject matter.
