Venezuela agrees to accept migrants, including gang members, deported from US in exchange for economic cooperation

Donald Trump has announced that Venezuela has agreed to take back migrants who had entered the United States illegally. The agreement was reportedly reached after a meeting between President Nicolás Maduro and a senior Trump administration official. However, Venezuela has not independently confirmed the deal. According to Trump, the deal includes the return of six American citizens who were detained in Venezuela. Trump also stated that Venezuela has agreed to receive all Venezuelan illegal aliens currently encamped in the US, with the logistics of their transportation not yet disclosed.
