United States Opposes Ordered Withdrawal of Israel from Palestinian Territories at ICJ

The US argues that Israeli security concerns should be considered in any solution to the conflict. This stance was presented during the week-long ICJ hearings where over 50 states were due to present their stances on the matter. Israel also submitted written comments expressing concern over the court's involvement, stating it could hinder efforts towards a negotiated settlement. Israel has previously announced that it would not participate in the hearings and sent a letter to the court last year.
