Unilever to cut 7,500 jobs and spin off ice cream business

Unilever, a multinational consumer goods company with approximately 128,000 employees, has announced plans to separate its ice cream business as a standalone entity. The split is expected to be completed by the end of next year. In addition, Unilever intends to launch a productivity program and implement a major restructuring that will impact around 7,500 mainly office-based jobs worldwide. The costs associated with this restructuring are estimated to be approximately 1.2% of the company's turnover during the period.
