Ukrainian President Postpones Foreign Visits Amid Russia's Kharkiv Offensive Progress

Russian forces have launched a significant offensive in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, marking the most substantial border incursion since the full-scale invasion began. The offensive has led to the evacuation of around 8,000 people from the area. Russian infantry has entered the town of Vovchansk, which would be Russia's most significant gain since launching an incursion into the Kharkiv region. In response to the escalating situation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has suspended all foreign state visits and canceled his own trips abroad. The Ukrainian military has also pulled back troops from several villages in the northeastern Kharkiv region as Russian forces advance and bombard settlements along the border.
