Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Released on Bail Amid Corruption Inquiry

Mykola Solskyi, a former head of a major farming company and member of parliament, is facing allegations of illegally acquiring state-owned land worth $7 million. He has denied the accusations and offered his resignation. An anti-corruption court ordered him to be held in custody until June 24th. Prosecutors have also charged a dozen other individuals in connection with the case. Ukraine is attempting to combat widespread corruption, which has plagued the country for years.
