Ukraine fires UK-made Storm Shadow missiles into Russia
Recent developments in the Russia-Ukraine conflict have included reports of long-range missile strikes on Russian territory. Initially, there were reports of Storm Shadow missiles being used, with Russian military bloggers claiming that 12 long-range missiles were fired into the Kursk region. However, Downing Street refused to confirm the strikes officially, and some reports stated that the missiles were actually fired by Ukraine with the approval of the British government.
Subsequent reports indicated that Ukraine had indeed fired Storm Shadow missiles, with the decision to do so reportedly made in response to the deployment of North Korean troops on Russia's border with Ukraine. The strikes were also allegedly made possible by the British government's permission for Ukraine to use the missiles within its territory.
