US troops to leave Chad, Pentagon says

The United States is set to withdraw some of its personnel from Chad, a Central African country, following demands by neighboring countries' military rulers. This decision comes after Chad questioned the validity of an agreement covering the US military presence on its borders. Initially, over 1,000 troops were stationed in Chad as part of the US strategy, but currently, around 100 troops remain. The withdrawal was prompted by Chad's air force chief ordering the US military to halt activities at an air base near N'Djamena.
