US to boost military presence in Middle East with additional fighter jets and warships

The US Defense Department is taking steps to increase its military presence in the Middle East in response to escalating violence and tensions in the region. Additionally, the Pentagon has ordered the deployment of additional ballistic missile defense-capable cruisers and destroyers to the European and Middle East regions. This move comes as the US worries about the potential response from Iran following the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The Pentagon has also approved sending additional Navy cruisers and destroyer ships to the Middle East.
