US to Continue Arms Supplies to Israel Despite Gaza Humanitarian Concerns

The United States government has stated that Israel is not violating US law with regards to the level of aid entering Gaza, although there are concerns about the humanitarian situation. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had previously sent a letter to Israel, voicing alarm over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and setting a deadline of November 13 for Israel to take further action. Israel has since opened an additional aid crossing into Gaza, but the State Department has stated that the overall humanitarian situation in Gaza remains unsatisfactory.
