US and UK Conduct Airstrikes Against Houthi Targets in Yemen

The United States and Britain have carried out air strikes on several sites in Yemen, targeting the Huthi rebel group. The strikes were in response to recent attacks by the Iranian-backed militia group on ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. According to reports, 14 people were killed in the strikes, with some sources indicating that nearly 300 soldiers have been killed since Israel began its ground offensive in the Palestinian enclave. The targets included underground facilities, missile launchers, command and control sites, a Houthi vessel, and eight uncrewed aerial vehicles. This marks the fifth combined operation against the Houthis by the US and British militaries since January 12. The strikes were carried out using fighter jets and US ships, with one report indicating that American forces also struck an MQ-9 Reaper drone that had gone down in Yemen.
