US and Iraq joint raid kills 15 IS members

A joint operation between US and Iraqi forces resulted in the death of 15 members of the Islamic State group in western Iraq. The raid targeted key leaders of the group and was carried out early Thursday morning. According to CENTCOM, 7 US troops were injured during the operation, with 5 of them being wounded and 2 injured in falls. Iraqi forces reported that the militants were armed with numerous weapons, grenades, and explosive belts. There were no reported civilian casualties. The raid was part of ongoing joint security efforts between the US and Iraq.
