US Secret Service Under Scrutiny After Trump Shooting Incident

The US Secret Service has announced its cooperation with an independent review following an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The incident occurred when a shooter opened fire, but Trump survived and was removed from the stage by the Secret Service team. According to reports, the shooter was approximately 122 meters away from Trump at the time of the attack. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has rescheduled a virtual meeting with Republican members of the House Homeland Security Committee and will also brief members of the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday.
