US Addresses Concerns Over Drone Sightings in New York and New Jersey
ai generated text
Mysterious airborne phenomena have been widely reported on social media, with numerous video clips circulating of unidentified drones or objects in the sky. Despite extensive investigations by the FBI, Pentagon, and aviation authorities, no conclusive explanation has been provided for the sightings. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has stated that there is no known security threat associated with the drone activity.
The answer 'we don't know' is not a good enough answer.
I am grateful for the support, but we need more. Congress must pass a law that will give us the power to deal directly with the drones.
For some reason, they don't want to tell the people.
Some of the reports are indeed drones, while others involve manned aircraft commonly mistaken for drones.
There's no question, though, that drones are being sighted.
I want to assure the American public that we are on it.
Some of those drone sightings are, in fact, drones. Some are manned aircraft that are commonly mistaken for drones.
And with the technology evolving as it is, we have every expectation that the number of drones in the skies over the United States is going to increase over time.
While there is no known malicious activity occurring, the reported sightings there do, however, highlight a gap in authorities.
It is legal, it is proper and in fact in many cases these drones provide valuable services both on the commercial side and on the law enforcement, public safety side.
