UN: Afghan Women Fear Alone Outings Due To Taliban Rules

According to three recent articles, Afghan women are expressing feelings of fear and unease about leaving their homes alone due to Taliban restrictions on their public activities. The Taliban, who seized power in Afghanistan in 2021 during the final stages of US and NATO withdrawal, have barred women from most areas of public life and stopped girls from attending school beyond the sixth grade. Additionally, unmarried women or those without male guardians are facing limitations on their access to work, travel, and healthcare.
