UN votes overwhelmingly to condemn 31-year-old US economic embargo against Cuba and urge its lifting
UN General Assembly (UNGA) has adopted its annual resolution calling on Washington to end its decades-long economic blockade of Cuba. The vote was 187 in favour, with the United States and Israel opposed, and Ukraine abstaining. The "yes" vote was up from 185 last year and 184 in 2021.
