UN Convoy Released in Gaza After Detention by Israeli Forces

A United Nations convoy of 12 staff members was stopped by Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza on Monday, while en route to North Gaza for a polio vaccination drive. The Israeli military claimed it had intelligence suggesting the presence of "Palestinian suspects" on the convoy, leading to its detention for over eight hours. The UN has disputed this claim, stating that the convoy was carrying only humanitarian workers. The convoy was eventually released, but not before Israeli bulldozers caused significant damage to the UN armored vehicles.
